Angels

God said "I will send an angel ahead of you
to protect you as you travel and to bring you to the place which
I have prepared. Pay attention to him and obey him..
But If you obey him and do everything I command,
I will fight against all your enemies
-Exodus 23:20-22-

"Keep on loving one another as Christian Brothers.
Remember to welcome strangers in your homes.
There were some who did that and welcomed angels without knowing it"
-Hebrews 13:1-2-

"God will put his angel in charge of You
to protect you wherever you go. They will hold you
up with their hands to keep you from hurting your feet on the stones
You will trample down lions and snakes, fierce lions and
poisonous snakes"
-Psalm 91: 11-13-

In Switzerland there lived a missionary couple known by C.M. Ward of Revival Time. This couple were in very great need. There last coin was spent and all their food had been eaten. The wife was in tears, "What shall we do! We shall strave!"

"There's only one thing we can do" said the husband, "and that is pour out our fear to God, and tell him what our needs are- tell him that our food store is empty. The Bible tells us to be more specific than that. Let's look at the advice to the Philippians; it's in chapter four verse six:

Dont worry about anything, instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and dont forget to thank himfor his answers. If you do this you will experience God's peace, which is far more wonderful than the hman ind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus (Living Bible)

"Tell him about everything,' repeated the husband,
"Well then, let's make him a grocery list"

the wife fetched a piece of paper and made put the following list

'Lord Jesus,
we need:
5 pounds of potatoes
2 pounds of pastry flour
4 pounds of apples and pears
a cauliflower
and beef for Sunday'

She complered her list and then remembered to add , 'Thank You, Jesus'

She felt much hapier and went about her housework.

A few hours later, at about 11:30 that morning, a knock came at the door. The wife wiped her hands quickly and opened the door. A man stood there dressed like a grocer with a long blue apron over his clothes. In his hands he held a basketful of provisions. He smiled and said, "I have brought what you asked for."

He pressed forward the basket for her to check.

"But I didnt order anything," she said
"Oh yes you did, madam."
"No, there must be a mistake. I'll call my husband. Perhaps he can explain."
Her husband came and said, " I expect you've come to the wrong door. There are twenty-five other doors along here- try one of those."
"Oh no, I've just brought you what uyou asked for",

He pressed the basket onto them. The wife took it in and began to check the contents. She found: 5 pounds of potatoes, 2 pounds of pastry flour, 4 pounds of apples and pears, a cauliflower and a beef for sunday.

She looked up, her face glowing with suprised joy, to thank him. The man was not there! Her husband said, 'He did not pass this window. He just disappeared. I checked the hallway, but there's no trace of him anywhere!'
